Silver Solder Flux Coated Brazing Rods are a general purpose, cadmium free brazing rod, mainly used for brazing copper and mild steel.
- Available in 20%, 30% and 40% Silver(Ag) composites
- 1.5mm x 500mm
- 20% Ag exhibits moderate ductility and a slightly higher melting temperature
- White Flux Coated
- Chemical Composition: 20% Ag, 40% Cu and 35% Zn
- Tensile Strength: 470 MPa
- Melting Range: 690°C-770°C
- 30% Ag has a good flow and good fillet forming quality
- Blue Flux Coated
- Chemical Composition: 30% Ag, 38% Cu and 34% Zn
- Tensile Strength: 480 MPa
- Melting Range: 670°C-730°C
- 40% Ag has a higher strength and good flow at lower temperatures
- Yellow Coated Flux
- Chemical Composition: 40% Ag, 30% Cu and 28% Zn
- Tensile Strength: 500 MPa
- Melting Range: 650°C-710°C
