Auto Darkening Helmet

Satisfied with the helmet not used it a lot bit but works like a dream no major complaints at this stage

Welding helmet

This helmet works well, however it is not very reliable as it drains the batteries. I think it does not really switches of when not in use because even with a new set of batteries! After a while of not using it, you will definitely have flat batteries by the time you need it and then the helmet does not work. I have this helmet from last year June 2021 and have replaced these batteries 6 times now.

Once I replaced the batteries I could use the unit

Unit arrived with flat batteries. The user manual is mostly useless.
Once I bought a second set of batteries (approx R40), the unit works as expected. It takes a bit of getting used to - especially trying to lift the shield away from your face without taking the whole thing off your head.....the manual attempts toshow how to do this, but its useless. I would only recommend this to someone who knows what they doing - not a beginner or novice - althoug the techn may work well, there is no support.
